Finding and managing appropriate neuro-affirming educational and therapeutic strategies plus long-term planning for a child or teen with autism or other neurodivergent challenges can be confusing, frustrating and stressful.

Dr. Adreon meets children, teens, young adults and their families where they are ‒ processing a diagnosis and navigating the challenges of early education, tackling middle and high school, dealing with the pressures of college and work life.

Meanwhile, we may overlook our own stress levels and their impact on our families. We need life strategies too. Parents and families often require tools and supports to maintain healthy relationships while helping a child or teen with autism grow and achieve.

At the core of Spectrum Life Strategies is education and training for parents and children, including:

• Helping parents understand the diagnosis and the tools that further growth and development.
• Evaluating current challenges and recommending individualized neuro-affirming strategies and respected professionals with an eye toward reaching the next stage of development.
• Educating families about the roles of professionals (communications/social skills therapists, psychiatrists and psychiatrists) the goals of therapeutic professionals and desired outcomes.
• Helping parents understand school education plans and interact more effectively with schools.
• Coaching for parents as they implement strategies.
